UPDATE:  Harvard is no longer taking submissions.  They are collating their data and when they have their results, we will post about them here!

PREVIOUS STORY:

Yes, you may help a child get an earlier Autism diagnosis!

Do you have a child (typical or with special needs) between 14 months & 7 years old? If so, the Wall Lab at Harvard Medical School has asked Shared Abilities to seek your support.

The goal is to bridge the time gap between suspicion of a developmental delay and an appointment with a diagnostic specialist. The Wall Lab at Harvard Medical School hopes you will help them finish work on methods that simplify the process of detecting developmental delays by bringing it closer to homes through natural home videos of your child in a social situation and straightforward parent questionnaires.

To participate, all you need to do is answer 10 questions in an online survey and upload a 2-5 minute home video of your child at play. Here is a link with some FAQs about the project, including Harvard Medical School’s privacy measures and how your video can help the community.
